Wiley Bass, Jr. Will Graduate
CAMP GORDON, GA. ? Pvt. Wiley Bass, Jr. of Route 4, Dunn, N.C. will graduate this week from the Field Radio Repair Course, one of the many courses offered at The Southeastern Signal School, Camp Gordon, Georgia. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Bass.
The Field Radio Repair Course, which is 25 weeks along, trains selected personnel in field and depot maintenance of radio equipment used by the Army in the field.
During his training, Pvt. Bass received a technical education worth thousands of dollars. He will now be reassigned to an active unit of the United States Army.
The Southeastern Signal School is a component of the Signal Corps Training Center, a mammoth communications college, which supplies trained signal technicians to Army unites all over the world.

Wiley B. Bass Jr.
Hillsborough - Wiley B. Bass Jr., 47, of Brigadoon Drive in Durham died Tuesday night at the home of his sister in Orange County.
He was a native of Harnett County and was a veteran of the Korean War.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Reverend Tobie Stone. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Baptist Chapel Church Cemetery in Sampson County.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maeline D. Bass; a daughter, Miss Rebecca Anne Bass of the home; three sons, Wiley B. Bass III of Raleigh, George Randall Bass of Hillsborough and David Allen Bass of the home; his mother, Mrs. Susie M. Bass of Durham; two sisters, Mrs. Christine B. Heath of Hillsborough and Mrs. Aline B. Roberson of Raleigh; a brother, Weldon Ray Bass of Durham; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Robinson, Curtis Fowler, Curtis McNeill, Charles Ray, L.P. Spell and Jeff Stillwagon.
