Bassett, 71, of Jackson Heights, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday in the Walter B. Cooke Funeral Home at 80-20 Roosevelt Avenue, Jackson Heights. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Mr. Bassett died Sunday in Physicians Hospital, Jackson Heights, after a brief illness. He lived at 35-13 76th street. The credit manager for the Blumberg Hardware Company in Greenpoint, Mr. Bassett lived in Jackson Heights for 30 years. He was born in Connecticut. Surviving are his wife, Anna; a son, Morton G. Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Zsuffe; two sisters, Mrs. Julia E. Piper and Mrs. Mabel Fortune.
