Alfred Bessette
Alfred Bessette, 85, of 10 Wood St., an employee of the former Berkshire-Hathaway Co. until retiring 20 years ago, died Saturday at St. Anne's Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of Rose (Riopel) Bessette.
Born in Waterbury, Conn., a son of the late Ulderic and Amanda (Dumas) Bessette, he formerly lived in East Providence.
Mr. Bessette was a communicant of St. Jean Baptiste Church and a member of its Union of Prayer.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Doris Bousquet of Tiverton; a sister, Alma Delude of Pawtucket, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the chapel of the William J. Smith and Son Funeral Home, 18 Baker St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Main Street. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
