Duane ?Zeke? Besett
Duane ?Zeke? Besett, 78, of Alexandria, passed away on Jan. 30, 2013, at his winter residence in LaBelle, Fla. He was born on May 13, 1934, in Fairbury, Ill., and resided most of his life in Alexandria. He was a retired tool and die maker from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. He enjoyed racing and boxing, spending time with his family, and traveling to Florida. Duane is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Johnson) Besett; son, Lee (Marrianne) Besett of Mount Comfort; daughter, Linda Myers of Anderson, daughter, Pamela Besett of Indianapolis, daughter, Peggy Carpenter of Des Moines, Iowa, and daughter Janice Bynum of Anderson; stepson, Ron (Duffy) Teague Jr. of Indianapolis and stepson, Robert (Robin) Teague of Fort Myers, Fla.; stepdaughter, Heather Teague of Fort Myers, Fla.; brother, Jerry (Fran) Besett of Bellfontaine, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Besett; mother, Selma Besett; and his sister, Carol McIntire. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, Ind. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice in LaBelle, Fla.
