He was born June 29, 1922 in Auburn to Charles F. and Cora (Bassett) Derrow. On Aug. 31, 1946 in Auburn he married Betty Jean Kunce. She died in Nov. 1970. He was a retired farmer and retired in 1983 from Borg Warner in Auburn. He was a veteran of the armed forces. Surviving are 8 daughters and their husbands, Jennette and Robert Shlater of Churubusco, and Ruth Ann Derrow, Lois Butler, Alice and Phil Weeks, Peg and Ron Conley, Claire and David Anderson, and June Derrow of Albion, and Mary and Roger Owen of Columbia City; 2 sons, Tom and wife Rita of LaOtto, and Tim of Albion; 3 sisters, Helen Sanders of Orland, Marie Pruess of Mich., and Gladys Whittig of Auburn; 2 brothers, Robert of Fort Wayne and Charles of Auburn; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and a son-in-law, Joe Butler. Funeral Friday in Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion. Burial, Sweet Cemetery.
