Loren Humbarger
LEO ? Loren D. Humbarger, 93, died Sunday, January 8, 2017, at The Cedars, Leo, Indiana. Born on March 20, 1923 in Hicksville, Ohio, Loren was the son of the late Archie and Hazel (Linn) Humbarger. Loren was a 1942 graduate of Edgerton High School, Edgerton, Ohio. On January 21, 1943, Loren was united in marriage to Lois Bassett and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2016. Loren was a dairy herdsman for over 35 years and he retired from Bauman & Harnish in Garrett, Indiana. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Loren is survived by four sons, Ed (Dwana) of Blackstone, Massachusetts, LD (Karen) of Markle, Indiana, Jerry (Carol) of St. Joe, Indiana, and Glen (Michelle) of Waterloo, Indiana; a daughter, Darlene (Nick) Carr of St. Joe, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Duane, in infancy; granddaughter Brianna; and a sister, Leina Zielinski.
Funeral services for Loren will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, Ohio. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital or Riley Hospital for Children.
