He married Anna Murdock on 6 Sep 1806. She was born 9 Aug 1785. She died 5 Apr 1860, aged 75 years, in Salem, Washington County, New York at the home of her son-in-law William Coon. First: I direct my executrix ... to pay all my just debts....
Second: I give ... to my beloved and affectionate wife Anna Bassett all my personal property....
Third: I give ... all my real estate situate in the town of Salem or elsewhere ...to my beloved wife Anna Bassett to be used ... during her natural life - and after the decease of my said wife I give said real estate to my daughter Agnes Wells....
I Hereby appoint ... my beloved wife Anna Bassett sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
