She died 9 Jan 1997. (The following is from Raoul R. Bessette) He was educated through the 6th grade when he left to join the work force which was not unusual during that era. With the United States entry into World War I, he enlisted on his 18th birthday and was posted with the 13th Cavalry at Ft. Clark, Texas. Following his honorable discharge in 1919 he returned to Massachusetts and served in the National Guard and returned to active duty in 1925 receiving his final discharge in 1928.
