Has Skull Fractured In Mill Accident
Armand Bessette of Willimansett in Serious Condition
At Providence Hospital
Holyoke, Sept. 14. – No change is reported in the condition of Armande Bessette, 38, of 55 Whitman street, Willimansett, who is in a serious condition in the Providence hospital with a fractured skull received at 10.30 this morning at his work as a buffer at the C.F. Church manufacturing company in Willimansett. He is being attended by Dr. Oscar Bourgeault and his name i on the danger list.
Bessette was buffing one of the company’s products, a toilet seat, when it caught in the wheel of the machine, spun around and struck him in the front part of the head.

Armand Bessette
CHICOPEE – Armand Bessette, 61, of 5 Whitman St., Willimansett, died Tuesday at Providence Hospital following a short illness. Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Antoine and Victoria (Roberts) Bessette and has been a resident of Williamansett for the past 40 years. For many years he had been emplo9yed by the C.F. Church Mfg. Co. of Williamansett. Besides his wife, the former Irene Masse, he leaves a son, Donald of Willimansett; a daughter, Mrs. Rene Cote of Granby; four brothers, Oliver and Raoul of this city, and Antonio and Herve of Williamansett; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Paul of Willimansett, and Mrs. Harold Woodbridge of Long Island, N.Y.; also four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Thursday morngin at 8:15 at the Arthur J. Brunelle, Jr. funeral home, Willimansett, with a solemn requiem high mass in the Church of the Nativity. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Aldenville. Calling hours at the funeral home today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
