Born in St. Valerien, Canada, she lived in Agawam-West Springfield area and was graduated from West Springfield High School before she entered the Novitate of Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. She spent the early part of her religious life in Le Pas, Manitoba, Canada where she served as directress of the Mission there. She later transferred back to St. Hyacinthe she served for 20 years in charge of the Office of Studies at the Presentation of Mary. She leaves a sister, Grace Gaudette of New Hampshire and several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
