In Agawam, May 20, Mrs. Arcelia (Gauthier) Bessette of 18 Tower Terrace, widow of Moise Bessette and mother of Mrs. Edith Coughlin and Mrs. Odette Benjamin, sister of Mrs. Zella Bouley. The funeral will be held Thursday at the Toomey-O’Brien funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at St. Theresa l’Enfant Jesus Church at 10. Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Mrs. Moise Bessette
Mrs. Arcelia (Gauthier) Bessette, 88, of 18 Tower Terrace, Agawam, died Monday at home. Born in Agawam, she was a member of the St. Anne Sodality and the St. Theresa de l’Enfant Jesus Church of Agawam. She was the widow of Moise Bessette and leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edith Coughlin and Mrs. Odette Benjamin of Agawam, and a sister, Mrs. Zella Bouley of Auburn, N.Y., five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at the Toomey-O’Brien funeral home, West Springfield, followed by services at St. Theresa de l’Enfant Jesus Church of Agawam. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
