Funeral of H.J. Bessette
The funeral of Henry J. Bessette was held in the home in Ottawa Street, Mittineague, yesterday, at 8.15 o’clock, followed by requiem high mass in St. William’s Church at 9. Fr. Fitzgerald officiated and delegations from the Knights of Columbus and Court Iberville of Foresters of Springfield were present. The bearers were Alfred Dumont, Thomas Daly, Edward C. Gosselin, Lewis Dufresne, William A Duclos and Leo J. Roy. Burial was in St. Thomas’ Cemetery, West Springfield.

Death of Henry J. Bessette
Henry J. Bessette, 39, died at his home, Ottawa street, Mitteneague, yesterday morning. He was born in Mitteneague and had lived there all his life. He had been employed as a drug clerk in Guimond’s drug store, Chicopee, for the past four years. He was a member of Chicopee council, Knights of Columbis, and Court Iberville of Foresters of Springfield. Besides his widow he leaves six children, Sylvia, Isabelle, Emeline, Clarence, Lawrence and Harry; four sisters, Mrs. William A. Duclos, Mrs. Leo Roy, Mrs. A. Vallierre, all of Mittineague, and Mrs. Louis Defresne of West Springfield; two brothers, Peter and Aldege Bessette of Mittineague; his mother, Mrs. Rosalie Bessette; a stepfather, D.D. Bessette, two stepbrothers, Oliver and Moses Bessette of Mittineague; three stepsisters, Mrs. E.A. Gosselin and Miss Louise Bessette of Mitteneague, and Sister Mary St. Edith, who is in Canada. The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday morning, the hour to be announced later. There will be services in St. William’s church with burial in St. Thomas cemetery, West Springfield.
