KENNETH KERSEY Jefferson, Published on 09/01/2002 Kenneth A. Kersey, 79, of Jefferson died of a heart ailment Thursday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson, with burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery near Churdan. Mr. Kersey was born near Jefferson and had lived in Greene County all his life. He had been a farmer and raised livestock. He also had been a truck driver and was interested in antique farming equipment. He is survived by a son, Donald of Jefferson; and two daughters, Sandra Kersey of Battle Creek and Kathleen Kersey of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. and where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Restoration Fund, the National Kidney Foundation of Iowa or St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Churdan.
