Kitchin, 87, of Lindenwood Health Care Center, formerly of Glen Oak Towers, died at 5:50 a.m.Thursday, Feb. 24, 1994, at Lindenwood Health Care Center.Born June 13, 1906, in Markland, Ind., to William A. and Hanna Turner Kinnett, she married Louis Pintar in June 1926 in Springfield. He died July 14, 1936. She married Donald Kitchin on Sept. 25, 1943, in Peoria. He died Jan. 26, 1979. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, six sisters, two sons, Jimmy Pintar and Rudy Pintar, one daughter, Arlene Schlobohm, and one grandson. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Olga) Long of Edinburg and Mrs. Everett (Eleanor) Carrington of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; and one sister, Jessie L. Smith of Tipton, Iowa.In the 1940s she worked as a waitress at the formerFranklin Street Cafe, Liberty Restaurant and the University Club, all in Peoria.She attended Faith Christian Center in Washington.Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton. The Rev. Ronald K. Stewart willofficiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
