BIOGRAPHY:
On a visit in 1988, Wray Puffer Bassett told submitter (Ronald Bassett) that his mother was a cousin to Howard Hughes, and that he and Howard used to fight in the cow pen. Austin also attested to the relationship. Eda Wray Luce is the 3rd cousin to billionaire Howard Hughes. Wray also told a story about Frank Bassett getting Guy Bassett {grandfather of submiter} to grab the tail of a cow and get pulled across the grass, instead the cow unloaded manure all over Guy!

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 22, 1963, at 2:00p.m., at the Weglar Funeral Home, Bloomfield, Iowa, conducted by the Rev. Richard Bentzinger of Altoona. Interment in I.O.O.F. cemetery, Bloomfield.
