Leoma ?Lee? Margaret Laufenberg Bassett
Sept. 16, 1923 ? June 18, 2013
Leoma Laufenberg Bassett age 89, of Redmond, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, at Cougar Springs Memory Care.
Lee was born Sept. 16, 1924, and raised on a farm near Alice, ND, and graduated from Alice High School. She went to Fargo, ND, and furthered her education at a business college. During WWII she went to California where she worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" building airplanes. This is where she met and married her beloved Richard L. Bassett. Richard predeceased her in July of 2012.
Lee is survived by her children, one daughter, Gayle Jensen (son-in-law, Paul); one son, Glen (daughter-in-law, Sherrie); her brother, Lowell Laufenberg of Alice, ND; and a sister, Luella Erickson of Bismark, ND. Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Margeret and Ernest Laufenberg; her beloved husband, Richard; and her son, Dr. Gary L. Bassett.
