  Notes	Plattsburgh Press Republican, Tuesday, 27 Nov 1990 Pearl Ryan SARANAC – Pearly Ryan, 86, died Monday, Nov. 26, 1990, at the CVPH Medical Center Hospital. She was born April 8, 1904, in Saranac, the daughter of John and Lydia (DeFiatte) Bassett. She was the bookkeeper at the Saranac Agency for over 40 years. She was a member of the Assumption of Mary Church. Survivors include a brother, Wayne Bassett; seven grandchildren, Gary LaVarnway, Donald LaVarnway, Deanna Cox, Dale LaVarnway, Greg LaVarnway, Mary Lou Tedford and Sharon Defayette; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Her daughter, Rose Marie LeVarnway; a brother, Oril Bassett; and a sister, Valeda Mattoon, all died earlier. Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Assumption of Mary Church in Redford. Burial will follow in the Assumption of Mary Cemetery in Redford. Memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Rescue Squad.
