Frank M. Mark "Grandpa Beans" America has lost another World War II Veteran. Born January 6, 1920, passed away April 16, 2011 at age 91. The youngest and last surviving of 13 children of the Vincenzo Marcovecchio family from Italy. Mother Meli in Stockton, Utah raised him. During World War II, he served three years under Gen. Patton in the African and European theatres. As a forty-year truck driver for PIE he received the Million-Mile award for safety. Married Emma Meli, later divorced. Married for 60 years to Colleen Bassett until her passing in 2008. Survived by his three sons: Michael (Laurie) Roberts. Randy (Barbara), and Scott; daughters by love: Nona Merrill, Chris Smith, Robyn Brown, three grandsons, three grand-daughters, 10 great-grandchildren, in-laws Sharon Nytch and Keith and Millie Bassett and niece JoAnn Dixon. He requested no service be held. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Cemetery for family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite animal or Veteran association.
