Shotgun Death Accident, Coroner Rules
Death of Dolphiis Bessette, 57, of 64 Howard, Cohoes, whose body was found on Crawford?s Hill near there, was accidental, Coroner Philip J. Morrissey has ruled.
The discovery was made yesterday by Arthur DuChesne, 1 Carlton Ave., Cohoes, who had been searching for him since Bessette had been reported missing Monday. Bessette?s body had been struck by a shotgun blast and near him was his shotgun, a discharged shell in the breech of one barrel.
For many years an employe of the Peerless Fibre Company, Besstete retired about four months ago because of ill health. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Delphine Bessette, and a sister, Mrs. William Davis, Rensselaer.
Funeral services are to be Monday at 7:45 a.m. from Dufresne?s Funeral Home, Cohoes, and at 8 a.m. a Solemn Mass of Requiem is to be celebrated at St. Joseph?s Church, where Mr. Bessette was a communicant. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery.
