Mrs. Nora Bessette, 63, Pyrites, Dies Sunday, Wife of Bert Bessette
Mrs. Nora Bessette, 63, died Sunday afternoon in the Noble hospital where she had been a patient for only a few hours.
Mrs. Bessette is a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Anna O’Reardon Warren. She was born September 9, 1892, in Pyrites, and on September 9, 1925, was married to Bert Bessette in St. Paul’s Church, Pyrites, by Rev. Michael Kelly. The couple have spent their entire married life in Pyrites.
She was an active member of the Altar Rosary society of St. Paul’s church, Pyrites, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Canton.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Ann) Scott, Russell; Mrs. Neil (Norene) Sheridan, Pyrites, Miss Evelene Bessette, at home; five sons, Nelson, Burton, Warren, Reardon and Gerald, one sister, Mrs. Ann Curtin, Ogdensburg, four brothers, Michael and Edward Warren of Hermon, and Dennis and Timothy Warren of Canton; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the O’Leary Funeral Home, and from St. Mary’s church. Interment was in the family plot in St. Mary’s cemetery, Canton.
