Mrs. Plante Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Mary Louise Plante of 79 Congress St., Cohoes, widow of Joseph Plante, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Albany, after a long illness. The former Mary Louise Bessette, Mrs. Plante was a native of Canada but had lived in Cohoes most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and a meber of the Union of Prayer, Ladies of St. Anne Society and the Third Order of St. Francis of the parish. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Dodge of Watervliet and Mrs. Louise Cusick of Cohoes; two sisters, Mrs. George Noonan and Mrs. Emma Turpin, both of Cohoes; a brother, Joseph Bessette of Cohoes; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from A.G. Boivin’s Sons Funeral Home, 70 Congress St., Cohoes, and at 9:30 a.m. form St. Joseph’s Church where a Requiem Mass will be offered. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
