Services Today For Mrs. Sadie Bass
Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Dunn Bass of Ensworth ave. will be 2:30 p.m. today at the residence by Dr. A. W. Currie.
Burial will be in Spring Hill cemetery. The body is at the residence.
Mrs. Bass died early yesterday at St. Thomas hospital after a two-week illness.
Born in Hendersonville, Mrs. Bass was the daughter of Blackman Hayes and Mary Jane Drake Dunn. Her husband, Francis M. Bass of Nashville, died in 1943. They were married in 1902.
Mrs. Bass attended Ward Seminary and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church. She also was a member of the Centennial Club, Belle Meade Country Club, Town and Country Garden clubs, Ladies Hermitage association and the Vanderbilt Aid society.
Surviving are two sons, Francis M. Bass Jr. and James O. Bass, Nashville; a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Phillips of Nashville; five sisters, Mrs. Charles E. Cooper, Mrs. G.W. Tollett, Mrs. Roy Pierce, Miss Bert Dunn and Mrs. John W. Long, Nashville; two brothers, R.E. Dunn, Nashville and D.D. Dunn, Madison and six grandchildren.
