He was residing at the Monroe Manor for the past month, with a beautiful room and wonderful staff, which allowed for his wife, Gloria, to help care for and be with him. Bill was an avid fan of the University of Notre Dame sports teams as well as Wisconsin Badgers, Brewers and Packers. He loved fishing and hunting and included his family members from time to time. He had a wonderful sense of humor that kept us guessing as well as laughing with wondering how to get him back. He was also a movie and history buff, with emphasis on the civil and world wars, also 1930 and after move star roles. After spending time in the military as a marine, he learned to become self-sufficient as a homemaker during his bachelorhood. This was a great asset as a husband. They lived in Janesville, Beloit and Mt. Pleasant, SC (briefly), and back to Beloit. Bill was brought up in Clinton, WI, and later moved to Beloit, where he attended Beloit Memorial High.
