- ALICE M. ROBERT – WINOOSKI
Alice M. (Bissette) Robert, 81, a lifelong resident of Winooski, died peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, in Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington. Alice was born in Essex Junction on Sept. 25, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Fornier) Bissette. She was married on Oct. 18, 1947, to Clement J. Robert Sr. who predeceased her on April 1, 2003. Alice was formerly employed as a seamstress at Maternity Inc. and in later years owned and operated a day care. Among her interests, she especially loved shopping, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Alice is survived by four children, Judy Brean and husband Donald, Linda Tetreault, Clement Robert Jr. and wife Nancy, and Joan Bricker; grandchildren, Amy and Jim Rogers, Susan Brean, Jennifer and Jessie LaRock, Chad and Monique Tetreault, Cory and Amanda Tetreault, Heather Robert, Candice Bricker, Scott and Kristy Robert, Shawn Robert and Desiree Latrell; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Bissette and wife Barbara, and Richard Bissette and wife Anita; sisters, Del Bartolotti, Mildred Rabidoux, Florence Couture and husband Donald, Emily Lesage, Lorraine Martel, and Doris Mendl and husband Tony; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; special cousins, Dorothy and Roger Dow; and special friends, Arlene and Lyle Remick. Alice was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth "Miller" Bessette, Pearl Bove, and Marion Darling; and a brother, Donald Bissette. Alice's family would like to express their special thanks to the entire staff at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare for their wonderful care and kindness. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski. Interment will be in the Fort Ethan Allen Cemetery in Colchester at the convenience of the family.
