BESSETTE, 87, of 82 Heather Drive, coowner of the former Bessette's Food Mart, died yesterday in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Frederick J. Bessette. A lifelong Woonsocket resident, she was a daughter of the late Henri and Lucia (Bernier) Bourre. Mrs. Bessette coowned the former Bessette's Food Mart on Social Street. She retired in 1977. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Marcel Bessette of North Providence; a daughter, Claudette Theodoroff of Lincoln; and five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lucia Garneau. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from T. Lauzon Funeral Home, 85 Rathbun St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
