P.W. Bass To Be Buried On Thursday
Funeral services for Phillip Quitman (Gabe) Bass, restaurant owner, who died Tuesday, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Henry M. Blanchard & Son.
The Rev. J. Omer Jones will officiate, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. bass was owner and operator of an eating establishment on Moreland avenue. Born in Five Points, Ala., he came to Atlanta as a child. he was in the restaurant business for 23 years and an Atlanta resident for 37 years. He lived here at 168 Moreland Ave., NE.
Mr. Bass was a member of the Moose and was a medical Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife: sons, Allen Quitman Bass of San Francisco, Calif.; Robert M. Bass and William J. Bass of Forest park; mothers, Mrs. Willie C. Bass of Atlanta; sisters, Miss Mary Belle Bass of Atlanta, Mrs. ralph E. McCorkle of Atlanta and two grandchildren.
