Clyde T. Bass
Chapin - Services for Clyde T. Bass, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2002 at Mount Horeb Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be the Reverend Henri Bishop and the Reverend Dwight C. Wessinger. Pallbearers will be J.B. Wicker, Rodney Wicker, Stephen Wessinger, Ray Cannon, Robert Porter and Allen Berley. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight, June 27, 2002 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Bass died Monday, June 24, 2002. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Henry Lewis and Mary Alice Mitchum Bass. He was a member of Mount Horeb Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, a Mason and had retired from Fort Jackson.Surviving are wife, Myrtle Cannon Bass of Chapin; daughter, Gayle Cannon of Little Mountain; son, Steven E. Bass of Pomaria; brother, Henry Bass; sister, Louise Hagins; grandchildren, Brichette Holland, Kristy and Gary Bass; great-grandchildren, Mattie, Emily, Lexi and Alleigh.
