Leslie was born to Horace Joseph and Mary Maude Bassett on April 27, 1930 in Kemp, TX. Leslie was better known as ?Rooster? to his family and close friends. He served in the Navy as a young adult. He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. Leslie left behind to always cherish their memories of him his daughter; Beverly Ann Clayton (Danny) of Bethalto, IL, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Horace Joseph and Mary Maude Bassett, his wife Sylvia Bassett, his daughter Patsy Joanne Carranza, and his brother Dale Bassett. All funeral services are entrusted to All Faith Cremation & Funeral Services in Ingleside, TX serving the Coastal Bend.
