Pery Bass
Percy Bass (Pa-Pa-Baby) a longtime resident of Prichard, Alabama, departed this life on January 19, 2008 in the comfort of his home. Percy Bass was born to the late Elmore and Mariah Bass. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Bernice Gulley, Elvin Bass, and Lexie Quinney; two grandchildren, Zana Bryant and Joshua Bass. He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of forty-six years, Clora Bass; six devoted children, Freddie Williams, Wanda (Steve) Kelly, Sylvia (Bobby) Bryant, Percy (Felica) Bass, Jr., Alvin (Tiffany) Bass, and Herrell Bass; eight grandchildren, Steven, Tijuanna, D'jon, Shawanda, JaBraun, Brandy, Jasmine, and Brandon; three great-grandchildren, Nautica, Dawson, and Kaitlyn Kelly; four sisters-in-law, Pearl Bettis, Augusta (Robert) Mose, Ella (Lorenzo) King, and Louella (Charles) Frank; one brother-in-law, Charles (Mary) Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral hour at Blooming Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Bradley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home.
