In 1865 Schuyler and Esther sold to Lucinda land in West Pultney, Riga Township. In 1864 Edwin E. and wife Phebe Maria of Cleveland, Ohio sold a lot. Also, Edwin E, Mare E. and Schuyler W. and wife Esther of East St. Louis, Illinois sold land in Riga, New York to Chas Embling.
William, Lucinda, Egbert and Edwin E. Bassett are listed as members of the Belcoda Baptist Church of Wheatland, New York.
William was mustered into service as a Musician on the 12th day of Dec 1862, at New York, in the 25th Battery of Light Arty. N.Y. Volunteers to serve 3 years, or during the war. On Muster Roll for the month of May and June 1863, reported "Died June 11th 1863 at St. James Hospital New Orleans LA of Typhoid Fever."

OBITUARY: Mrs. Lucinda M. Bassett died this morning at 5 o'clock at her residence in this city, in the 78th year of her age. She was born on May 15, 1815, and was married to Wm. P. Bassett, who died in New Orleans in 1864. She early united with the Baptist church in Clifton, New York, and has lived consistent with her profession during her long life. She has lived in Alton for sixteen years. Two of her chidren beside her husband have preceded her in death. Three of her children survive her, viz. Edwin E., Sylvester C. and Libbie Bassett, Mesers, A.E. Bassett, of this city, and W.C. Bassett, of Kansas City, are grandchildren of deceased. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the family residence. Alton Telegraph 16 Sep 1892.
