George W. Bass
George W. Bass, 84, of Gunter Road in Andalusia, passed away Thurs., Jan. 12, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Sat., Jan. 14, at Adelum Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors and Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lawson Bass of Andalusia; sons, Johnny (Jan) Bass of Winder, Ga., and Gary (Louise) Bass of Andalusia; daughter, Gwen (Kenny) Lee of Andalusia; stepdaughter, Betty Partridge Wambles of Andalusia; five grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 28 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Nancy) Bass of Milton, Fla., and Murry Bass of Andalusia; sisters, Laura Barnett of Andalusia and Juanita Maund of Lake Park, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Winston (Mary) Bass; sisters; Rossie (Otis R.) Mann, Mildred Abney and Edna Bass; sister-in-law; Ann Bass; brothers-in-law, Ray Barnett and Frank Maund; stepsons, Jacky Ray Partridge and Bobby Wayne Partridge; and step-grandson, Bobby Partridge Jr.
Pallbearers serving will be Tanner Lee, Kevin Bass, Will McVay, Scott Tutterow, David McDuffie and Bo Lassiter.
Honorary pallbearers include Tom Kyser, Cecil Ammons, Peyton Tutterow, Jackson Tutterow, Beauen Tutterow and Walt Harris.
