Funeral of E.B. Bass
The funeral of E.B. Bass, one of Collin county?s most highly respected citizens, who died Sunday evening at the home of his son, R.S. Bzss, in the Millgan community, took place at 2 o?clock Monday afternoon, the interment being made in the Princeton cemetery, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Gotcher, pastor of the Farmersville Baptist church. Mr. Bass was born in Wilson county, Tennessee, March 23, 1829, and was therefore seventy-eigh years and one day old. He had been a consistent member of the Baptist church since 1854. He was twice married, his first wife dying in 1890, while his second wife died last yeasr. He had been a citizen of Collin county for twenty-on years and had been confined to his bed for the past year. He is survived by the following children:
R.S. Bass of Milligan; H. B. Bass of Ardmore, I.T.; W.P. Bass, Rhea Mills; Joe Bass, Sulphur Springs; Sam Bass; Greenville; J.L. Bass, Biggers; Mrs. Wallace stiff of this city; Mrs. J.T. Watson of Dallas, and Mrs. Efird of Lampasas county.
