Murder
Old Satan seems to have been let loose among a portion of our citizens latterly, Since our last publication a Coroner?s inquest has been held over the body of Mr. Jeremiah Bass, and aged citizen of this county, who, it appears, was shot through the heart by his nephew, John Bass, a youth of 17. Bass, after the perpertration of the deed, attempted to escape, but was arrested and brought before Justice Norwood, who committed him to jail, there to await his trail at the October term of the Circuit Court.
