Many Pay Respects to Mrs. Bessette
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Bessette, held at her late home, Whiteaway and East Lake street, at 9 o’clock yesterday morning were attended by many friends. High mass was celebrated at St. Anne’s church at 9:30 o’clock, where a large number of floral tributes testified to the feeling which friends of Butte and elsewhere held for the deceased.
The pallbearers were G. Nadeau, Harry Hansen, Jack Toy, T.G. Murphy, Jerry Shea and O.L. Matter. Mrs. Bessette was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge and Court of Honor. She was the wife of Charles Bessette of the Bessette-Stork company of Butte. Surviving relatives besides her husband are three children, Charles, Leo and George; two sisters, Mrs. W. Smith and Mrs. John Grant; all living in Butte, and her mother, living in the East.
