  Notes	Obituary of John Bass John Bass, 76, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home. Mr. Bass was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Vy S. Bass; son David Bass (Lauren) of Stafford; four grandchildren Lindsey Bass, Chris Bass, Nick Bass and Jamie Bass; brother Mike Bass (Marge) of Joppa, Maryland; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Cheshire (Russell) of Fallston, Maryland and Sheila Crochunis (William) of Essex, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents Elwood and Ruthie Bass and a brother-in-law Steven Self. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 30, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
