Mrs. Crotia Ila Bass Blanchard
Salemburg - Mrs. Crotia Ila Bass Blanchard, of Britt Haven Nursing Home, Wilmington, formerly of Hwy. 242S Salemburg, died in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington. A graveside service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jimmy Suggs and Reverend Roger White officiating.Born in Sampson County, Mrs. Blanchard was the daughter of the late Lonnie D. and Tempie Jane Jackson Bass. She was a member of the Salemburg Baptist Church and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a retired school teacher.She is survived by her husband, Willard Jackson "Jack" Blanchard; daughters, Gwendolyn Blanchard Roberson of Wilmington, Carolyn Blanchard Daniels of Raleigh; sons, Willard J. Blanchard Jr. of Wilmington, Ronald G. Blanchard of Hendersonville; sisters, Irma Peterson of Clinton, Alease Compton of Hendersonville, Alice Jane Royal of Salemburg; brothers, Lonnie Jackson Bass, Johnson Bass and Carl Bass, all of Clinton, Shelton Bass of Lakeland, Florida, Howard Bass of Dunn, Milton Bass of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Willard Jackson Blanchard III, Crotia Jacquelynn Garner, Gwendolyn Earle Roberson and Carol Jane Blanchard Roberson; great-grandchildren, Aaron Jackson Blanchard, Jacob Warren Blanchard and Elizabeth Deborah Blanchard.The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina.
