Lee Albert Bass
ST. GEORGE, UT - Lee Albert Bass passed away at his home July 19, 2001, following a long, valiant fight with brain cancer.
He was born March 26, 1945 in Youngstown, OH to Frank Columbus Bass and Irma Brown. He married Lynda Faye Stangle on March 26,
1988 in Lake Tahoe, NV on his birthday. A Marine Corp Veteran, he served 2 1/2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Lee served Park City and City of Tooele in the capacity of Building Inspector. Later, he was a partner of Ivie Code Group. In this capacity he performed invaluable building code inspection services to the University of Utah during the massive Olympic Housing Project. He was very dedicated and committed to doing his work with integrity and excellence. A longtime resident of West Jordan, then Stockton, UT. Lee and his wife moved to St. George in Oct of 2000 to enjoy his last months in the sun.
Lee is survived by his beloved and adoring wife, Lynda; a son, Roger; a daughter, Diane; a daughter of his heart, Michelle Turner; mother, Irma Bass; sisters, Diane, Linda, Lois, Clela; and brothers, Larry, Danny, Kane, all of Youngstown, OH. He was preceded in death by his son, Bill.
Lee has a loving, compassionate spirit. He was loved and respected by all for his honesty, integrity, quiet humor and courage. There are no words to express how his sweet presence will be missed.
