  Notes	The Jonesboro Sun, Arkansas, Tuesday, October 21, 2003 Clair Duane Bass HORSESHOE BEND -- Clair Duane Bass, 83, of Horseshoe Bend died Sunday, Oct. 19, at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Barberton, Ohio, he was a World War II Navy veteran, had worked for a railroad for 30 years and had lived in Horseshoe Bend since 1980. He was a longtime member of United Methodist Men and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Illinois Club of Horseshoe Bend, the Railroad Club and the Horseshoe Bend Planning Commission. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Bass of the home; two sons, Scott Bass of London, Ky., and Roy Bass of Phoenix; a daughter, Judy Fiegel of Warrenville, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
