Richard A. Bass, 79, passed away May 26, 2002
Born in Barberton, where he was a life resident and retired from PPG after 41 years of service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Holy Hour Program, and 20-Year Club at PPG. He was also a proud Army veteran of World War II.
Preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Michael Bass; survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Helen; son, Richard M. (Mary) of Salem; grandchildren, Kelly (Don) Conrad, Daniel (Jennifer) Bass and Beth Bass; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Andrew, and Melissa Conrad, and Clara Bass; brother, Robert (Marge) of Barberton; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. at the Hahn-Hostetler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling hours TODAY from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Endowment Trust Fund.
