Amerson Halifax - Funeral services for Zachary Ruffin Amerson, 82, of Route 2, Halifax, will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at Community Center Baptist Church by Reverend John Spencer and Reverend Rudolph Evans. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday. He was a native of Wayne County and was a retired farmer. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Inez Lewis of Route 2, Halifax; one sister, Mrs. Verdie Bass of Fremont; one brother, Tom Amerson of Pikeville; and six grandchildren.
