Myrtle L. Bassett
Myrtle Louise Bassett, 71, of 290 Laurel Dr., died Saturday, may 8, 2004, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born August 24, 1923, to the late Vera Whitloe Landreth and Guy K. Landerth of Fieldale. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Blue Ridge Rehab for 17 yaers. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Bassett of Bassett; on e son, Floyd Ken Bassett of Martinsville; one brother, Stanley Landreth of Herndon; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. George Agnew will officiate. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and oat other times at the home.
