Miss Aurore M. Roy was most agreeably surprised Tuesday evening at her home, 30 Farnsworth street, by a party of her friends who tendered her a linen shower in honor of her approaching marriage to Homer Bessette of Hartford, Conn. The evening was passed with games, vocal and instrumental music, etc. A buffet lunch was served. Cornet solos were given by Miss Esther Roy and piano selections by Miss Phelonise Roy Miss F.E. Handyside entertained with a delightful reading. One of the most enjoyable features was the unique Scotch singing and dancing by Miss H. McCallum. The party, numbering about 20, broke up shortly before midnight.
