Derrow Widow of Charles Derrow, Cora L. Derrow, 85, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at DeKalb Memorial Hospital after an illness of several years. Mrs. Derrow was born Oct. 28, 1890 in Defiance, Ohio, and was a lifetime resident of the area. Her late home was in rural Angola. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1954. Mrs. Derrow is survived by 98 descendants including eight sons, Earl, Auburn, Howard, rural Ashley, Arthur, Fort Wayne, Guy, rural Helmer, Glen, rural Auburn, Chester, Rural Albion, Bob, Fort Wayne, and Charles, Garrett; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Pruse, Saginaw, Mrs. Gladys Whittig, Auburn, and Mrs. Helen Sanders, rural Angola; 46 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Derrow was a member of the Auburn First United Methodist Church. Services will be at the Gerig Funeral Home, Auburn, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. August Lundquist, pastor of the Auburn First United Methodist Church will officiate. Calling will be after 2 p.m. today. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
