  Notes	St. Albans Daily Messenger, December 21, 1966 Robert H. Bessette Fairfax – Robert H. Bessette, 55, died Tuesday at a St. Albans hospital after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 6, 1911 in Fairfax, son of Mrs. Emily (Cross) Bessette and the late Henry Bessette. He was a graduate of Bellows Free Academy, Fairfax. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Luke’s Church, Fairfax Grange 525, and Franklin County Farm Bureau. He was town lister for several years, and also served on the Board of Civil Authority and the Zoning Board. He leaves wife, Mrs. Rita (Bourgeois) Bessette, two sons, Robert E. and Stephen E.; his mother; Mrs. Emily Bessette, one brother Francis W., all of Fairfax, also several niece and nephews. The body was removed to the A.W. Rich Funeral Home, Fairfax, where friends may call today and Thursday, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in St. Luke’s Church, Fairfax, Friday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Francis A. Hickey will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot in St. Luke’s Cemetery. The Holy Name Society will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 8 p.m. A.W. Rich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
