- According to court documents from 1841, Elijah, son of Jordan, was deceased by 1841 and the court documents provided a list of his children.
"Ordered by the Court that Jordan, John, Bethena, Owena, Drucilla, Nancy and Richmond Bass, children of Elijah Bass, deceased and heirs of the estate of Jordan Bass deceased Receive of John and Willis Bass as the Administrators of the estate of said Jordan Bass the sum of one hundred and forty one 4/100 dollars after deducting the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars as an advance made by said Jordan Bass to said Elijah Bass as aforesaid found to be due them by this court on this day and that execution be stayed until further ordered by this court."
