Dr. William R. Bass
LOUISBURG ? Dr. William Roy Bass, 65, of Louisburg, Route 3, died in Franklin Memorial Hospital Friday. Dr. Bass was Franklin County?s only doctor of veterinary medicine and had practiced here for the past 39 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the local Rotary Club. Funeral services will be conducted at the Louisburg Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m. The Rev. Aubrey Tomlinson, pastor, the Rev. Charles B. Howard, and Dr. Clarence Bass will conduct the services and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Beaty; three daughters, Mrs. William Stuart Wood of Tarboro, Virginia Elizabeth and Frances Ann Bass, both of the home; four sons, Dr. Clarence B. Bass, St. Paul, Minn., Thomas Van Nathan Bass of Laurinburg, Charles G. of Durham, and James H. of the home
