Bettye A. (Cook) Bass, 67, Kokomo, passed away and the Lord gathered up another angel at 4:17 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at her home. She was born June 17, 1952, in Evansville, the daughter of the late Glenn Sr. and Anna L. Cook. On April 20, 2000, she married Jerry W. Bass, and he survives.
Bettye loved her family and leaves them with wonderful memories of gatherings, dinners, and lake life adventures with her children and grandchildren. She made Thursdays special with a dinner for her children and grandchildren. She was a 1971 graduate of Kokomo High School and retired from Delphi Electronics. Her beautiful smile and loving heart will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Along with her husband, Jerry, Bettye is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" (Leata) Banter; grandchildren, Wade and Nick Weideman, Blake and Mea Banter, Madison Johaning, and Will Sheasley; siblings, Arnold (Pam) Cook, Roger (Pam) Cook, Jerry (Ginger) Cook, and Glenda Kelly, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Ginger Weideman.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Barb Tranbarger officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
