      KIRLIN, Charles Edward "Chuck" Of Nashville, IN, passed peacefully away in Methodist Hospital on January 24, 2016 after a noble battle with a brain tumor. He was the son of Robert and Chris Kirlin of Nashville, IN. He was born on August 7, 1979 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 36 years old. Chuck received his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Business from Indiana University. He was an avid sports fan that led him to an internship with the Akron Arrows and a brief career working in the media relations for the Cincinnati Reds and the Fresno Grizzlies baseball teams as the Media Director. He then decided to continue his education earning his Master's Degree in Elementary Education at Indiana University. He taught at Van Buren and Helmsburg Schools in Brown County, IN. He loved teaching and working with children. His hobbies include running, music and playing Dominoes. He was a very special Lego Master and a sports junkie extraordinaire. He was also a Faith/Youth leader at Nashville United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Brown County Playhouse and the YMCA. Chuck is survived by his parents Robert and Chris Kirlin of Nashville, his son Will and his mother Celeste Reider of Harrisburg, PA, his brother and sister-in-law Brad and Sarah Kirlin and their children: Megan, Ben and Makenna of Cincinnati, OH, his grandmother Nell Bassitt of Hamilton, OH, his aunt and uncle: Charles and Nancy Kirlin of Columbus, IN, his aunt Debbie Bassitt of Cincinnati, OH, and his aunt and uncle George Edward, Jr. and Marcy Bassitt of Hamilton, OH and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Chuck was predeceased by his grandparents Howard and Moneta Kirlin of Milton, IN and his grandfather George Edward Bassitt of Hamilton, OH. Friends may call on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. in the Nashville United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also in the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nashville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chuck and Will Kirlin Endowment for Special Projects/Events for the Brown County Indiana Students/Teachers through the Brown County Community Foundation.
