Gruver - Services for Walter D. Bass, 56, will be at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church in Gruver.
The Reverend Larry Miller, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mr. Bass died Thursday. He was a pipeline gauger for Diamond Shamrock. He was born in Garden City, Kansas, and had been a resident of Gruver for 22 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bobbie; three daughters, Arlis Garrett of Lubbock, Anita Noland of Fritch, and Karla Tebeest of Gruver; four brothers, Leroy Bass of Felt, Oklahoma, Sam Bass of Dumas, Dale Bass of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Herb Bass of Farmington, New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Norma Groves of Compton, California, Gladys Ottinger of Boise City, Oklahoma, and Doris Smith of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his mother, Mrs. M. E. Bass of Boise City, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doug Reed, Jerry Mills, Don Hartgranft, Van Bradford, Jerry Overbey, John Hannon, Larry Spence and Veda Chisum.
