- Hubert L. Bassett, son of Hubert and Harriet Bassette, was born in Jul 1864 in Canada. He married (1) Esther Murray on 22 Sep 1890. She died 1 Mar 1906 in Pine Valley, Oregon. He married (2) Emma Sandrock, daughter of William and Anna (Dauscher) Sandrock. She was born 12 Jun 1874 in San Diego, California.
Hubert immigrated to the United States in 1870 with his parents.
From a family letter written in 1924, William and Walter were both single in 1924 and were living in Walla Walla, Washington. Roy lived in Seattle in 1927 and had a boy and a girl.

Heart Attack Fatl To Hubert Bassett
Hubert Lewis Bassett, 82-year-old retired farmer, died suddently of a heart attack at his home, 1505 North Eighth street, early Friday. He had lived in Boise the past eight years.
Born in Oakland, Cal., on July 3, 1858, Mr. Bassett is survived by his wife, Emma S. Bassett, three sons, H.R. Bassett of Seattle, Washn., Walter A. Bassett, Portland, Ore., William A. Bassett, Chewela, Wash., and a daughter, Mrs. Edna Skinner of Salem, Ore., and three grandchildren.
Coroner Clyde Summers reported that Mr. Bassett had attempted to start his automobile in the rear of the Bassett residence. Failing, he called a garage attendant for aid. The attack struck Mr. Bassett shortly after the attendant arrived. Police and a doctor were called but attempts at artificial respiration were unsuccessful.
Members of the family have been notified. The body is at the Summers Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements yby relatives.
